WMH Racing Archmage Link

One connection point for your WMH Racing tools, printers, and supported third-party equipment.

The Archmage Link is the communications hub for the WMH Racing ecosystem. It connects the WMH Racing app to supported WMH hardware, thermal printers, and selected third-party equipment while handling the different communication methods required by each device behind the scenes.

Rather than requiring a separate adapter or connection method for every tool, the Archmage Link provides a common interface between your phone or tablet and the equipment on your bench.

What the Archmage Link Does

• Provides Classic Bluetooth printer support for iPhone and iPad

• Allows supported tools to share a common connection to the WMH Racing app

What’s Included

Each Archmage Link includes:

• Archmage Link
• USB-A to USB-C power cable
• UART accessory cable

The supplied USB cable is used to power the Archmage Link. Connect the USB-C end to the Link's POWER port and the USB-A end to a suitable USB power source.

The supplied UART cable is used with compatible WMH Racing equipment including the Battery Wizard, Rotor Master, and other supported UART devices.

Connections

USB HOST — USB-A

The USB-A connector is the Archmage Link USB HOST port.

All supported USB data devices connect through this port.

The USB HOST port provides:

• USB data communication
• Power to the connected supported device

POWER — USB-C

The USB-C connector is used only to power the Archmage Link.

The POWER port does not provide USB data communication.

USB HOST = USB data + device power
POWER = Archmage Link power input only

ESC / PWM

The ESC/PWM connector is located on the accessory side of the Archmage Link.

It is used for supported ESC and PWM functions.

The white alignment mark above the connector identifies the GND pin.

UART

The UART connector is used to connect compatible WMH Racing equipment including the Battery Wizard, Rotor Master, and other supported UART devices.

The white alignment mark above the UART connector identifies the GND pin.

The black wire on the supplied UART cable is GND. Align the black wire with the white mark when connecting the cable to the Archmage Link.

Printer Bridge

Many inexpensive thermal printers use Classic Bluetooth SPP, which is not directly available to normal iPhone and iPad applications.

The Archmage Link solves this by acting as the bridge between the WMH Racing app and a supported Classic Bluetooth printer.

This allows results from supported WMH Racing tools to be printed directly from the app without requiring a separate computer.

Printer setup, saved printers, test printing, connection status, and printer selection are managed from the WMH Racing app.

WMH Racing Hardware Integration

Battery Wizard

Connect the Battery Wizard using the supplied UART cable.

At the Archmage Link, align the cable's black GND wire with the white mark above the UART connector.

At the Battery Wizard, the black GND wire connects to the furthest-left pin when the device is viewed in its normal orientation.

The Archmage Link allows supported Battery Wizard measurements, device information, test data, and firmware updates to be accessed through the WMH Racing app.

Rotor Master

Connect the Rotor Master using the supplied UART cable.

At the Archmage Link, align the cable's black GND wire with the white mark above the UART connector.

At the Rotor Master, the black GND wire connects to the furthest-left pin when the device is viewed in its normal orientation.

The Archmage Link allows supported Rotor Master measurements, calibration information, results, and firmware updates to be accessed through the WMH Racing app.

Supported Third-Party Equipment

The Archmage Link can provide hardware connectivity for selected third-party equipment supported by the WMH Racing app.

Third-party support is device-specific and may vary by app and firmware version.

Supported iCharger Models

Compatible iCharger models connect through the Archmage Link USB HOST port.

The USB HOST port provides both USB communication and power to the connected supported device.

Refer to current WMH Racing compatibility information for supported models and features.

Firmware Updates

Supported firmware updates can be performed from the WMH Racing app for:

• Archmage Link
• Archmage Classic interface
• Battery Wizard
• Rotor Master

Firmware availability and update procedures depend on the connected device and installed firmware.

Status Indicator

The integrated RGB status light provides immediate feedback about the Link and connected equipment.

Depending on current operation, the Link can indicate app connection, printer connection, attached WMH hardware, supported USB devices, and firmware operations.

When multiple devices are active, the indicator may cycle through applicable status colors.

Designed for the WMH Racing Bench

The Archmage Link is a low-volume specialty product designed specifically around the WMH Racing hardware and software ecosystem.

Each unit is assembled, programmed, and individually tested for operation with the WMH Racing app before shipment.

Please Note

The Archmage Link does not make unsupported equipment compatible with the WMH Racing app. Third-party compatibility is limited to specifically supported devices and protocols.

Printers, WMH Racing instruments, iChargers, phones, tablets, and other connected equipment are not included unless specifically stated.
